Delete Your ChannelSurf Data
This page explains how to request deletion of specific ChannelSurf data without deleting your whole account. If you'd rather remove your account entirely (email, subscription, and all synced data), see Delete Account instead.
Delete individual items — no request needed
When cloud sync is active, unfavoriting a channel, removing a watchlist entry, or using an available history/resume clearing control updates or deletes the corresponding cloud item as part of normal sync.
Delete all synced data at once
In the app, go to Settings → Sync & Pairing → Clear synced data and confirm. This permanently deletes, for your whole sync group:
- Favorites
- Watchlist
- Watched / recently-watched items
- Live-viewing history
- Resume (continue-watching) positions
- Recommendation viewing signals, “Not interested” feedback, and personalization settings
- Cloud copies of program reminders
- Other synced configuration, including hidden channels/groups, guide-cleanup choices, provider-group names/order, custom category names/memberships, channel order, DVR recording state, and preferred home-host selection
If you can't access the app, send a request from the email address on your account to support@channelsurfplayer.com with the subject line "Clear my synced data." We process email requests within 7 days and confirm by reply.
What is kept
- Your account (email) and subscription/entitlement record stay active — clearing synced data does not delete your account or cancel your subscription.
- Your paired devices stay connected to your sync group; they'll simply see an empty library until new data syncs.
- Remote endpoint/public-IP records, account-link codes, support reports, waitlist records, trial hashes, and billing/audit records are not part of “Clear synced data.” See the Privacy Policy or contact support for the deletion route that applies.
- Data stored only on your own device — IPTV provider credentials, and any local favorites/watchlist/history, recommendation history, and pending program alerts — is not held by us and is unaffected. Clearing your cloud data does not erase what's saved locally on each device; clear that from that device's own Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
